Duke Women's Soccer Elite Camp

My team at Duke
I had such a great experience at Duke's Soccer Camp! I learned so much more than I have at any of my prior camps. The coaches pushed us to try new things and do our best. Their well-qualified coaching staff gave us training on our specific positions, and a few of Duke's players got to speak to the whole camp about their experiences as collegiate level athletes. Duke's women's soccer head coach also talked specifically about what it takes to play at the college level. Carla Overbeck, a former United States Soccer Olympian and World Cup champion, came and had a question-and-answer session with us. We all had the chance to get an autograph and a picture with her. This was a once in a lifetime experience! At the end of every day, specific campers are chosen by their coaches to participate in the All-Star Games. These players then play a thirty minute game against one another to showcase their talents. I was chosen to play two out of the three nights. The All-Star Games were fast paced and aggressive. Being chosen for this was such a great chance for me to show my talent and learn from others as well. The girls at this camp had incredible talent. The people that I met came from all over the United States and some were even from other countries. Duke's camp was a lot of fun, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to become an elite soccer player.

Virginia Tech Elite Soccer Camp

My team at Virginia Tech
This 4-day soccer camp was such a fun and unforgettable experience. The instruction at the camp was very insightful, and the amount of talent was remarkable. I met many new people and had the chance to play on the pristine Virginia Tech soccer fields. Many of the Virginia Tech players were involved with the camp; consequently, one of my coaches at the camp was a VT women's soccer player. Getting insight about collegiate level soccer by an actual Division I player was such a unique experience. This camp was a lot of fun and an immense learning experience.
